Split, Brač, Hvar and Korčula islands, Dubrovnik & Kotor Bay

Essence of the trip

Combine the twin joys of seeing outstanding natural beauty with the meditative experience of cycling. Your journey begins in Split and ends in Montenegro via Dubrovnik, Peljesac and a handful of idyllic islands. Road cycling around Croatia will enable you to uncover the country's hidden gems and discover, according to Hemingway, the most dramatic meeting of land and sea.

To congratulate yourself on your new cycling prowess, your final night will be spent at one of the most prestigious and exclusive hotels in the world. Black tie and Vodka Martini ready, you'll mark the end of your epic cycling adventure with a casino experience in Montenegro.

This trip will give you

Expect to cycle across the highest island in the Adriatic, explore secluded settlements and swim off Croatia's famous Golden Cape beach. With your expert guide by your side, you'll soon be racking up kilometres and developing your cycling stamina. Early morning starts, well-timed stop offs to admire historic towns and delicious meals at some of the finest restaurants in the country, will also ensure that this is no ordinary cycling holiday.

This full on weekend aims to please on all levels, so feel free to ease off the cycling and party hard on Hvar, Croatia's very own Ibiza. With your private speed boat, it's easy to make up the cycling time and find yourself wandering around Dubrovnik's Old Town and soaking up it's vibrant coffee culture and museums. Interspersing proper exercise with relaxed wine tasting tours just got easier for partners of cycling enthusiasts and the more fun loving cyclist. We won't tell if you don't!

Round off the trip in true James Bond style by hurtling towards Montenegro, the setting of the 2006 Casino Royale film. Although not actually filmed here, you'll still be treated like a film star at the magnificent Aman Sveti Stefan resort, a 32-hectare seaside estate graced with spectacular views, quaint courtyards and ancient cedar and pine forests. The tiny islet was formerly an Adriatic playground for the rich and famous from the 1960s to the 1980s, and the five star experience has only got better with the introduction of a stand-alone Aman Spa. Stay for an extra day and investigate the spa's sea view setting and well-being treatments all in the name of recovery.
