The Villa was originally built in 1612, during the baroque period, when Venice exhibited a strong influence all along the Adriatic and today it is a listed building under protection of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Monuments. The villa was first owned by the well known Stalio family then by the Marchi family, one of the oldest Italian families in Hvar. The Villa, together with the Gothic pool house and the garden was fully renovated between 2007 and 2009, all under strict supervision of the Institute.
The villa has a floor area of 450 sqm spread across three floors. Guests will enjoy five well-appointed luxury bedrooms for up to ten people and a large open plan living area with a library, fireplace, kitchen and the dining room. For those looking to wind up or wind down, the lower ground floor opens up to wellness facilities and a wine cellar.
Just beyond the doors of the Villa, an expansive Mediterranean garden awaits and it is a home to variety of citrus trees, figs, lavender and rosemary bushes. The garden is the most loved part of the villa, wheter you wish to dine al fresco, enjoy the sunbathing or sip a cocktail. Here you'll find a renovated Gothic house with a heated pool that can be converted for outdoor or indoor use to suit your year-round visit.
Inside, the living area is the soul of the villa and perfect for gatherings or a quiet evening alone by the fire. With its mjestic windows and the balony, it commands unparallel views of the Sea, Pakleni Island and Fortica fortress. The kitchen and dining room also benefit from fabulous views of the fortress and the inner harbour providing the ideal setting to enjoy wonderfully prepared meals by the chefs from the nearby restaurant.
The five bedrooms are spread across the first and second floors. The first floor holds two bedrooms, one with queen size bed and the other with a king or twin size beds. From the three bedrooms on the second floor, one is a master bedroom with a breathtaking sea views and it has a queen size bed. The other two bedrooms have king size beds and absolutely all bedrooms in the villa have tehir own en suite bathroom.
